Default Beautiful day of riding

I'm not sure where to post this, but since I'm riding a honda I did it here. We had the greatest day at Sandlake, Ore. on saturday. It's December 18 and 65 degrees at the beach. We are taking a break clear at the far end of the dunes and one of the guys say's, maybe we should find some shade to park in because it's kinda hot. What a great day! There was some prior wind storms that smoothed the sand out and made for some nice fast riding. The bowls are getting some nice lips on them, so catching air is impossible to avoid. Seriously beautiful day, normally in the summer the wind blows cold so this was a freak day and all 8 of us enjoyed it.

Badbiker,

I was in Florence that very same day - I've never seen anything like it in December. Our group was riding around the dunes in sleaveless T-shirts! It was the best day of winter riding I've had yet on the Oregon Coast. The only thing I missed were the razor backs - the storms from earlier in the week took all the edges off and jumping them was pointless where we were.

I used to ride at Sandlake every week - thats a fun place. How's the new sherriff working out?

Haven't seen the county sherriff down there that much lately, but lot's of forestry patrols. I have noticed a different lady driving the county sherriff truck but I usually keep things under control, so haven't had any problems with them. Although a buddy of mine and I stopped to help a broke two wheeler pushing his ride in the sand and he chose to load up in my buddy's truck rather than get towed by my quad. They got stopped because the guy was holding his bike up in the back of the truck and got checked out pretty closely for warrants or such and released without a ticket.
