Default honda 800 4x4?

it seems nowadays all the companies are coming out with a super big bore quad. I am almost certain both Yamaha and Honda are designing one. What would you hope to see in a new honda big bore 700-800cc? I think they should base it off the rubicon's name and call it a Rubicon 750. a v-twin with EFI (from CBR's) (please lots of torque and HP this time!!!), dual piston disc brakes, 580-600 lbs, front diff lock, 5 speed manual/auto, CVT no belt drive, with original honda reliability. this would definetely put the king quad and brute force out of business. what do you guys think?

First of all I hope so! Second why not just put the Rubicon trans on the Rincon? It would solve the Rincons LowRange/Engine breaking problems! Add a locker and Honda could not make'm fast enough! Honda dependability and a fully capable machine, it makes me smile, and I like to smile

Or Honda could just make a whole new design instead of basing every thing on the rincon??

I'm shopping currently, and I'm a big fan of Honda, but I rode a buddy's Rincon and thought it needed 40 more HP and a low range. It's a super quad, and great for trail riding, but I think with the above two changes it could better handle the occasional heavy work, plus attract power junkies...

If Honda built a powerful V-twin in a chassis similar to the Rincon, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I, for one, hope it comes with your choice of auto (like the Rincon, or Rubicon) or a 5 speed foot shift with auto clutch (and a low range).

I would think with a longitude mounted 90 degree V-twin (like the old CX500/650 or Silverwing) it could have perfect primary balance and still sit low in the frame.

I think there are a lot of us out there who would like Brute Force power in something that handles as well as a Rincon or King Quad, with Honda reliability. Honda, you listening?

A Honda TRX 800EX fuel injected V-twin!! That would be SWEET!!
I think Polaris will be the first one to break that ground! They already have that exact engine on their Sportsman.
We'll have to wait and see!!

ubertrailblazer01,

An 800 v-twin sport quad with manual clutch?

Add 4x4, and a couple of racks, and they'd take my money.
