Default 400ex grab bar

right now I'm savin up for a sport bike, i would say race but nowa days the 400ex isn't the racer. anyways i wanted to know about the grab bar/sub frame (?) this is the bike im leaning to get when i get the cash. this summer my buddy flipped one, i didnt pay a lot of attention b/c we had to take him to hospital but on the 400ex can u put new grab bars on if u bend them or is it just the sub frame? i took a glance and it looked like it was just a sub frame (maybe something else its what i call it) he bent it pretty good. argg back on topic, im gonna wanna be doin a lot of wheelies and im worried if its the sub frame that if i bend it standin it up i'll have to replace it. or can you install aftermarket grab bars on it? thnx

yea there are little extentions or sixpackracks and bolt on to your grabbar with Ubolts or whatever that will take it if you crash.

You should be fine when doing wheelies.....unless some freak accident happens there shouldn't be a problem, they are pretty strong. What I do is put a bead of weld along the back part that scrapes the ground, and once that weld wears through I just put another bead on it. Otherwise if you leave it alone it will eventually wear all the way through.

Also, incase anything ever happened, Used 400ex parts keep getting cheaper....
