Default Polaris Phoenix

When I was up at Bracebridge Ontario snowmobiling a week and a half ago, I stopped at the Polaris dealer in Bracebridge. He had a Phoenix on the showroom floor. It was the first time I have seen it in person. It really is a sharp looking quad. I was suprised how big it seemed. I expected it to be much smaller. I like the floorboards (instead of pegs). But I think they need single hand brakes. As much as I liked it, I am not ready to replace my Trailblazer with it.

My dealer sells both Bombs and Polaris. He said it's not even close. The Rally is much more powerfull. The sad thing(for the Pheonix) is that the Rally is a full size, liquid cooled 200 (really like 178cc I think) and only $200 more MSRP. I hope that Rick can figure out how to unlock the Pheonix's power or I might just get a Rally.

Hmm, interesting comparison Rally vs Phoenix. For someone wanting the looks of a sports quad, the Rally may not be a good choice. The Rally looks like a good Utility, but it seems far from full size. Even my Trailblazer dwarfs a Rally (except for length). As a matter of fact, except for the rack and brush guard on the Rally, a Rally and Phoneix are virtually the same size. I like the engine and rear hyd disc on the Rally. I like the shaft drive, suspension travel, double a-arms and looks of the Phoenix. I dislike the chain drive on the Rally. I dislike the rear mechanical drum on the Phoenix. It will be interesting to see how the Phoenix does.

the rally isnt dwarfed by a trailblazerin size. i had both and in 100 yards theyd be a toss up, whoever got the jump. after that the trailblazer pulled a length or 2. the trailblazer is overweight and underpowered. the penix is just junk. the same ppl that makes the paper for fortune cookies made that joke

Hello spoRtRax450R. Sorry for the confusion. When I say the Trailblazer dwafts the Rally, I was comparing the physical size, not performance. If you put them side by side you will see (4" wider and 5" taller, longer wheel base). I don't think the Trailblazer is under powered. The Trailblazer performance is quite acceptable to me. But then again, I don't ride to race. If I did, I wouldn't be looking at any one of these quads. As far as the weight, well: the Trailblazer has the biggest tires of most any sports quads. It has longer suspension travel than all but the most expensive quads. It has the highest towing capacity of its size/price range (850lbs). So I think its heavier for a reason. I have to agree with you, I am not happy the Phoenix is made over seas.
