I picked up a copy of the newest issue of Sand Sports today. It is the Febuary/March issue. Pages 76-78 are about Bob Craycraft and Craycraft Racing. The magazine article calls Bob Craycraft the "RAPTOR MAN" . Sand Sport magazine is geared more to the rail buggy crowd and for people that live in the AZ. CA. area. The article shows pics of the ATPT dragstrip and 4 or 5 pics of my 2001 yellow and black raptor with the drag racing favorite MBRP/CRAYCRAFT drag pipe. I think it is pretty neat when forum members get in the magazines. The writer (Mark A. Rolland) gave another plug to Atvconnection.com in the article as well. Mark Rolland was in Aledo six months or more ago doing the story that was in ATV Sport. At that time he said he was working on doing some motor builders stories for Sand Sport and this is the finished story. This article was originally going to showcase Dollarbillz and Ubetrns quads. The writer was back in Aledo at the June ATPT races and was going to finish up the pics for this article using Dollarbillz and Ubetrns but the weather turned nasty before the pics were done. So the writer went with my quad. This is the quad that Bob built in the trailer at FSW2 that dynoed at 31 hp stock and then at 67 when he was done on the in camp dyno that was there at the time. Lots have changed in the last few years.

Pick up a copy if you can.

They are putting more and more articles in the mag about quads, which is pretty good. I cant seem to find it anywhere where I live either. But you can always get a subscription or order back issues here at Sand Sport

 

Dancingqueen- What was the name of the story in the mag?

Ubetrn- I am sure we can find you a copy. What you like it autographed?? lol

I think that sand Sport is primarily a west coast mag. Kind of funny that they did a article about Bob from Texas and then Fast in kansas.

I am pretty sure that the 2005 ATPT June races will be covered by one of the major ATV magazines.

 

CONGRATS AGAIN BOB!!! I looked for a copy today and didn't see one... I'll try again tomorrow... I'll post pics of the article when I get them scanned... I put the last publication for all to see when ATV sport did the article.

 

I think its the CT racing 580 Banshee article. The "Original Sin"...

 

Also check out SandAddiction.com. Newer magazine and is geared more towards the life style rather than all high dollar buggies.

what the heck......wonder why ive never seen that magazine before. it looks awesome!!!!!!! anyone know where i can get a copy, especially with the craycraft article, ive been researching getting the 686 kit done by bob for my raptor.
