Default Intake boot for a Keihin 38mm PWK on a trx250r

Will the stock intake boot work or do I need a different one. Also, what about the throttle cable?

itll work, but it isnt no walk in the park without heating it up good.

i believe your throttle cable will work. to check, make sure the throttle cable isnt permanently connecting to the slide lid on the carb.

For the intake boots I usually run them under very hot water for a few minutes. Then they fit up much better. As for the cable a stock one can be made to work. You must remove the cap and lengthen the free end by cutting about 8 rings off the wound steel under the black coating. This will make the free end lenght long enough to fully pull the slide on the larger carb.

Thanks for the replies. I put the carb on this evening by putting it in boiling water and it went on pretty easy. I didn't bother with the cable, I just took the twist off my zilla for now. Made a short run up the street in my subdivision and yeehaa!!!! I can't wait to get out and ride this thing.
