Default Use Choke Insted Of re-jet?

Hey. I recently took my baffle out of my muffler on my 660R, and now its running pretty lean, not to mention the 30 Degree tempature. I noticed it revs smother with the choke 1/2 way on, then with it off. Could i just keep the choke 1/2 way on, and adjust the idle back down to normal? And keep riding like that? Because im getting a full exhaust soon, and i want Wait untill i get it to completly Re-Jet. thanks for imput.

Now that is ultimate lazyness.
In theory it works, but I wouldn't suggest doing so. Just bump the main up one size and turn the screw to get the idle set right.

yo, its really hard to re-jet on a raptor, you have to remove all the plastics, gas tank, air box, battery...on my LT it took 15 min to re-jet this is different. Does anyone know where the piolit screew is on the carb?

alba
Its #23, in front of the float bowl on the underside.
Theorericly using the choke (enrichener circuit) is the same as going slightly richer on all circuits. It doesnt restrict air flow, there isnt any harm in doing this, and its preferable to doing nothing and running lean.

if you arent ready to rejet, then maybe you should put the baffle back in..it seems pretty stupid to take the risk of running lean and blowing your engine..

why do you have to take your battery out to rejet?never heard that before.just take the gas tank off thats the way they did it at the dealership when i took it in stood and watched for 4 hours and they still didnt get it tuned it right.
