I think Honda made a good call with the 250. It will be a very reliable machine with proven parts. Sporty styling. I think Honda feels that if their riders want to go faster they will have to build their machines. There are some 300 EX quads that are very quick. Face it if they made a 650EX people would buy it and then still want more anyway. How long would some of you own a 650 before you started looking for more power? I think a 400EX is very competive against a Raptor, Banshee, 250R etc. Also we have to protect our sport. Honda is helping with the 250 by keeping people who are just starting out from killing themselves. If that happens there will be no more trails or riding areas. I guess the 250 is in it's own market and that is a popular one. So if you want a superfast racer BUILD ONE you will take more pride in it anyway. If Honda builds a new racer it should be sold to only racers like they do in the snowmobile industry. I would be cool to see an improved TRX300R cross-country racer and a TRX400R Motocross.

Honda is pathetic, they know they can't hold a candle to Yamaha, so they run in the other direction and they're going to put out this joke (250 EX)

uhh.. are you smokin crack? do you know how slow that thing is going to be? who wants a slow 2wd? if you buy the "new hot" 250ex you are dumb and shouldnt be riding a wheeler ;-) air cooled automatic piece of dog doo. Can you say rebuild every week?? All the 250ex owners will be racin in the same class as the mopeds. Anyways figured Id throw in my two cents. It reminds me of the polaris trailblazer but that is a 2 stroke 250, top spd is around 50 on that, probally 40 or so on the 250ex being a 4stroke.

Well I think it takes someone who smokes crack to think of the 250 as any kind of racer. And Rebuild every week? Not with a little common sense and maintenance.

And all that coming from someone who has a broke down yamaha. Guess he knows from experience that smoking crack is a stupid idea. Look, it still affects his writing skills (not that mine are great).

Rebulld every week? a Honda 4 stroke motor? hardly. It is a great quad not everyone cares about speed, how about about a sporty . low priced decent looking quad, hum lets see? Beartracker? or 250EX? Bayou 220 or 250EX? Trail Blazer or 250EX? See were i am going with this? Honda is going to clean up in the under 4 grand category. I am actually going to look at one when they come out and i am a die hard Polaris man. but hey i want a second quad for company, and the Beatracker, recon, and Bayou are not really what i would put my friends on. but it is lighter than the Recon with better brakes and

From riding my neighbors older 250EX it has plenty of speed, especially for the novice and younger smalle individual. If the new bike has the speed of the old one, it'll be plenty fast.

I've also noticed a real propensity from those who are naysayer to have included in their signature other makes of quads; what does this say about your opinions and Honda's to begin with???

I can't believe people can't see the merits of this atv, I would buy this 250ex before a Trail blazer and I am a Polaris man big time, but hey shaft over chain, 4 stroke over 2 stroke. both sporty looking. it weighs almost 50 lbs less than the Recon and well over 100 lbs less than the TB, but it is not allot more money.

Greetings,

Totally agree xepathfinder. If it had been around earlier this year I would have bought it.

My local Honda/Yamaha dealership is getting 5 Raptors in the next 6-8 months. The same dealership is getting 40 250EX's the first 4 months of production.
Who is laughing now????
