anyone using one? holding up?

Default alum rear sprocket.

In the sand a aluminum sprocket from sprocket specialist would last me about 6 months on my ds. Thats going out about every other weekend .

chain adjustment has a lot to do with it.

40, but i think im going to get the 42 and run a 16-42 gearing when on alky.

Yes, chain adjustment has ALOT to do with it.

I wore out two of them before I learned how to properly adjust the chain. I always ran it too loose.

Also, I was using sidewinders stainless chain.

Since I got rid of that chain and kept it properly tentioned, I've had no problems.

How much difference is there between a 15/40 and a 16/42 whats the advantage of one over the other

the 16-42 is between 15-40 and 16-40. with the 16 front the chain dont turn so tight. and on alky when leaving at 6000 rpm i think it will pull it in second.

I can pull a 16/40 second gear start at mega RPM but I hate to cause I'm afraid I'm being to hard on the clutch and if I dont rev the crap out of her she bogs BAD
