Bought a winch mount for my 05 kodiak, its made for a 04 but the rep said it would work on the 05......well its not working to good....dont seem like its going to fit....was wondering if any of you has mounted one one your 05 and did it work if you take the front bar off or what i need to do?.....or if you might know of a mount that would work for me......thanks in advance

I put a warn mounting plate on mine and had no problems. You should just have to undo a couple bolts, and lossen a couple of bolts. This will allow the front rails to drop so you can mount the plate. I'm sorry I don't have the part number for the plate. You should be able to get the part number from a Yamaha dealer.

 

My dealer put one on mine without a problem. They did tell me though that the front skiplate would work from an 04 and I had to bend it pretty good to make it fit. The front end is different on the 05.
