Just a question for those of you that know. It seems outrageous that aftermarket A-arms go for 4, 5 and even $600+ dollars. Why are they so high? Don't they use bent tubing (various materials) and regular ball joints or tie rod ends in them? I work in a machining facility, and it seems that a good tool and die maker could have a set of a-arms built out of Chromoly or Titanium in just a few hours. Is there something about them that I am missing that causes them to sell so high?

People pay it is the only reason they are so high.
For years only race teams even thought aboutt them, Now if the average guy wants them he has to pay big bucks just like the big race teams did. Thats why most people just used wheel spacers and or offset rims if they just wanted a wider stance and were not concerned with suspension travel.
