Raptor Suspension Set Up
#1
I got in a few hours of riding tonight and hit a few small jumps to get a feel for the way its gonna handle in the air and lands. I'm 6ft. and about 200lbs. and it feels like it needs a little more rebound in the rear.
What I'm hoping to do in this post is to have everyone try different set-ups and then post what works and what doesn't. That way we can all learn from each other and save some time as well.

did you adjust it at all before, mine feels good to me but they said they tried to set it up for me since im 6'3" 250lbs, I may be setting on a different reboud adjustment. They had asked what I weighed when they put it all together.
Its light huh, and it flies.

I played with the suspension a little this evening.
The front shocks were in the third setting so I bumped them up to number four.
On the rear, the coil preload was in the middle and I turned it clockwise three turns to stiffen it up a little
On the rebound it was set at 10 clicks out. The manual says there is a total of 20 clicks but mine had 35. I set mine at 20.
Next I adjusted the compression damping. It was set at 7 clicks in so I tried it at max. and min. settings (12 clicks in & 1 click in) but I didn't feel any difference. I went ahead and set it a 10 clicks in for now.
I went out and hit a few jumps in 2nd & 3rd gear while getting about 10' - 15' air travel and the bike landed much better. Before the changes it was landing rather harsh. It's gonna be a matter of a little tweaking.
Hope this helps! Let me know if anyone else comes up with a good combination.

Well I want to amend my suspesion settings previously. Now I softened the rear. The rebound is at 14 clicks out and the sompression is at 5 clicks in, I also loosened the preload a couple of turns. the landings off of most jumps are very plush, I have yet to bottom it out. I may take the front up a notch from factory set because some times even though I dont bottom the front out, I will nose it low enough to drag the tips of my boots. But It feels excellent now.

I set my rebound somewhere near the max. I overshot my tabletop landing area by about 5 feet landing rear heavy. My butt was still coming down as my seat rebounded up. End result, my back hurts like heck. Oh well, live and learn
. But I also dodn't notice any difference between the max and min compression dampening. The rebound makes a big difference! And I'm also going to add a few turns of preload. I've been hitting the skidplate on the ground of a few big jumps... and I'm only like 160 lbs.
I guess if I look on the bright side, if I had landed my banshee like that, the only wheeling I'd be doing would be in a wheelchair!!!
(as hard as i'v been on the suspension, nothing is tweaked... and i've put the nose in pretty hard!)
