Ebay is prob. the only place. I'm preety sure a 400EX frame would work, their practically the same. Walsh racing and Houser make frames to. I think LRD does also. Whats your price range your willing to spend?

If you're building a "one off" quad, and not going with an aftermarket frame, I would look more into a 400EX chassis. They are round tube instead of square, which is much stronger then square tubing like the R.

yeah i'm pretty sure a 400ex frame will work also, they are the same basic quads, except on is a 2 stroke and one a 4 stroke.....i'm not so sure about round tubing being stronger than square, but 400ex frames are pretty strong, and so are stock R frames.

Well, let me reword that, because I don't know if round V.S. square tubing, which is stronger chassis wise. What I meant was that round tubing will not crack as easily as square tubing. Round tubing would more likely bend, whereas square tubing would crack, if that makes sense??

As for a radiator, you will obviously have to fab up some brackets, but the R and EX chassis are very similar so it should fit without having to cut any of the frame.
