i was wandering if it is ok 2 take out the spark arrester on my 250ex

 

If you're riding somewhere where a spark arrestor is not required than yes, it's ok, but there's not really a point in doing it. You won't see a big performance gain.

 

yea but its loud.

 

And what does being loud accomplish? It pisses of neighbors and helps get riding areas shut down.
Out here in the state of Washington last summer a kid was riding a bike without a spark arrestor and he started a forest fire that burned for 2 weeks and burned thousands of acres. He now stands the chance of having to pay for all the bills associated with fighting the fire.
Removing the spark arrestor will also hurt the performance of the 250ex since it is jetted and filtered to the existing pipe and muffler.

 

Don't take it out. It will fry the valves in your engine because there is no back pressure. If you want to have it loud and a power gain, buy an aftermarket system.

 

not true. but keep ur spark arrestor in. chances are u only want to take it out to be loud which will **** every1 else off

 

Just keep it in i took mine out ....and i got all the neighbors pissed off and the cops called ..as far as prefomance doesn't do much if anything
