I sold my '96 trx because it just rode too rough for me. I found a Rancher ES up for auction, but before I bid I need to know how the ride is. Most of my riding is slow trail rides with the dog on the back in a box. Now and then I do some fast riding by myself but most of it is with the dog or the kid. Am I wasting my money, or will there be any real gain?

I have a Honda Rancher 4x4. Great quad but it is very rough riding.

 

I think you will like the Rancher. It has abit more power and an over all better suspension than the TRX. The reliability seems to be on par with the TRX. I would advise on installing the Warn 424 unlocker if you get the Rancher. It really ads a new dimension in the handling and sporty feel of the Rancher.
