P650 aftermarket rims?
#1
I would like to make my Prairie a bit wider and was thinking of some aftermarket rims. I would want steel for the area we ride (black or silver but Black would be better). Do you have any suggestions on which rims (of course I prefer good quality but cheap price but know that is tough). Anyway what size do I need (would like to keep the wheel size stock, but would like a wider off-set)? Any one know of a good place to pick them up cheap?
Thank you

Does anyone know anything about wheel off-set (how to know what the wheel description means when it shows off-set), and what are good (AKA STRONG) black steel wheels. I dont care about weight - the 650 is fine on that, I would lower center of gravity and a wider stance for cross-hilling.
Thanks

I can't tell you exactly about off center width, but obviously the wider the wheels the better stability you will have. Like if you have a 12" wide wheel vs. 10" wide wheel, they don't just add 1" to each side, they probably add 1/2" to one side, and 1 1/2" to the other, as you see the inside of the wheel is usually deeper then the outside. But I think the Highlifter website may show you how it works with offset, i'm not sure.
