Default air box/air filter cover problem

I have a 500 explorer and there is a tube between the carb and the filter box with a hose clamp at each end. Inside the filter box the air filter attaches to the inlet via a hose clamp as well. The cover for the filter box is attached with 6 wing nuts.

Does that sound like your setup.

Never had a problem with mine coming apart.
