cdi performance for 05 650

There are several Modules available. VDI, DG, Highlifter, just to name a few. These are all around $100. You need to splice into the factory wiring harness by the factory CDI and wire these in. The Dynatek and VDI's soon to be released, CDI units are plug and play, but at about $240. Both of these units can eliminate both the Limp Mode and Reverse Override circuits, were as the modules won't. VDI is velocitydevice.com

All the module's do is send a modified signal to the CDI to advance the ignition timing earlier. They do not eliminate the limp mode or reverse circuitry. And they need to be spliced into the wiring harness, not plug n play like the cdi's. Is that worth the extra $$? Thats your call.

I just read the Velocity Devices information and they claim that none of these devices add power above 7 MPH. They add power just from a stop to 7 MPH. So, hitting the throttle while climbing a hill at 10 MPH or when going down the road at 20 MPH should be no different than stock.
