I have a 03 500 and want to know if I weld the gears in my front differential to make a locker out of it? Will it be hard to steer at all times or only when I am in 4-wheel drive? Thanks

 

If you weld the gears solid you effectively weld one wheel to the other across the front. It stands to reason this would be hard to steer at all times as you try to drag one wheel aroun \d the outside of every turn...

Thanks, I was looking at the schematic and wonder how it is done, I would like to have a locker for the front but I guess I will leave it alone for now thanks for your response!

 

don't they make lockers for them?
