Just called NAC's today and there is a 6 month wait on LMS and ZPL shocks! I am racing in two-weeks (400EX MX and XC). Does anyone know what are comparable to the LMS PEP's that I can get quickly. How about AXIS or Ohlins, forget WORKS, the bushings are gone in less than a year. Thanks for the help.

Haven't talked to Mike at AXIS lately but usually his deliveries run about 3-5 weeks. Be prepared though, they are quite a bit pricer than the PEP's.

TCS they are like PEP ZPS but $650, 2 weeks. CT racing and Denton Racing bothe sell them. Denton sells PEP, Ohlins, Works, Axis, and TCS. they told me the TCS is the best you can buy for a Blaster. CT whom I bought mine through Said they are better than any PEP shock and are very comparable to $1200 Custom Axis. You can check them out at www.ctracing.com go to products then to suspension. Mine should come this week.

Thanks for the replys. I have also heard good things about TCS and can't see spending that much on AXIS though they would be nice.
I called PEP and got a return call from the lead guy on the East coast. Hope he can work something out. Thanks again for the help, I will look into TCS and Ohlins.

I am almost sure that you can get the TCS shocks in less than 2 weeks. I know someone that ordered them through K&Katv in mass and got them in just over a week. There was an article in the latest dirtwheels and the misprinted K&K's phone #. I had the chance to ride a trx250r with the following: PEP limited mass, PEP ZPS, TCS sag control series, and works triple rates w/o res. Hands down the TCS felt better and took the whoops better.
thats just my opinion

good luck

walter

Talk to Mark at Balwin Motorsports. I am sure he can help you possible get the PEP shocks a little faster, but a couple of weeks is pushing it! Forget about the TCS shocks. I understand the reason you don't like the Works, because the bushings blow out constantly if ridden hard. The TCS shocks are works shocks modified. Yes, CT may have better valving, and do anodize the parts unlike Works, but they still have them crappy bushings. I looked at getting TCS until I found out that the bushing are the same. I bought PEP, waited 12 weeks for them, and it was worth the wait. I have also owned AXIS also, and if they were cheaper than PEP, you would still spend more money on phone bills calling Mike Hallack in California trying to understand why your quad rides like a scateboard. Sure AXIS would help anytime you asked, but it was the fact that they never seemed right after three months and me sending them back 3 times (you pay shipping), and $300.00 in phone bills so I sold them. Good luck.

Bigbird;
I hate to rain on your parade.. but PEP shocks are works bodies also.... With there own(PEP) internals..... SAME as TCS!!! TCS does NOT use the same bushings as in the Works shocks. CT is ONLY a distributer, and TCS is a seperate company in itself. If you feel like waiting 12 weeks for a set of shocks. more power to ya!

do your homework next time

walt
