I'm in the market for a new quad and I want something that will be fairly easy to maintain (hence the exclusion of Banshee), and be very sporty and a good racer. The Raptor is a little out of my price range but I could probably save for a little longer, but I'm hearing of the problems associated with it and I don't have the money to sink into new a-arms and aftermarket parts right away. Please give me some advice. Thanks.

I'll make it very simple,in my opinion. 1+1=2,Right. 400ex+Warrior+Banshee+DS650=Raptor. And that's the bottom-line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Raptor all the way. Who pays cash up front anyway for a quad. The monthly payment of the Raptor was only 3 dollars more a month then the warrior. Performance wise the raptor blows the competition away.

It is not an entry level quad guys, dont push him into anything, id try a warrior or 300-400ex for about a year then trade into a newer model. But top performance everywhere you said will belong to the Raptor.

1 and 1 isn't 2. It's 11...

Don't need an entry level quad. I've had this falling apart 87 Warrior since the beginning of summer and I'm looking for something that requires a little less maintenance. It's worked good for me for trail riding and hill climbing, but I love everything about the Raptor. I just don't think I'm going to be able to swing that much money. I guess what I really need to know is... Warrior or 400EX?

If you have narrowed it down to these 2 models, consider, that brand new 2001 Warrior is no different than your '87 construction wise.

The 400EX outperforms it in practically every way, except reverse...
