MUDLITE TIRES
#1
Just thought I would pass along some new information on the mudlite tire line-up..In the past the 26 and larger mudlite tire had the extra deep lugs, I believe they are an inch and a quarter deep lugs. The 25 inch tires and smaller had the three quarter inch deep lugs. I ordered yesterday a set of wheels and mudlites for my girlfriends rancher in the 25inch size. I had a choice for the larger lug size or the original smaller size! Something new this year according to Matthew at atvoutfitters. Of course I ordered the larger lug size in the 25 inch diameter. Pretty cool that ITP gives a choice now dont you think?

You will find that they wear realy fast.
I got a thousand miles on mine and they are showing alot of wear on the treads and I had to get one of them plugged do to a rock poking it's way thru the side lugs and the main tread. Not all that impressed with them after all and I will be replacing them next season. I have another Kodiak 450 in my shed that has only 400 miles on it and the lugs are looking chewed up from the rocks and ice. My 1 cent do to the deflated dollar.

I have the 25's in the smaller lug size on my Rancher, for a year now. I am not impressed. One front tire has 7 plugs in it, and 1 back tire has 4. None of my other buddies have any plugs in their 589's and bear claws and we ride together. I have 3500 kms on them now and they are worn down halfway, and I never ride pavement as I live behind the trails. another guy has 7500 kms on his bear claws and they are worn maybe a quarter of the way.

Well of course I dont know how they are gonna do on the Rancher yet, but I have had them on my Foreman for a few months now and I love them. The 589's I started out with really gave me a work out trying to ride with them on trails. They were also bad to catch snags and roots and such and flip you over if riding at speed on trails. I sold them wheels and all in the first four weeks and went to the same size bigfoot kit with the mudlites. For me it was the best thing I have ever done. Feels like power steering compared to the old 589 tires and gets better traction over slick roots, rocks and most grounds covered and does almost as good as the 589's in the mud. I only have about 500 miles on them so far and they still look new. I run 5 and a half pounds all around in mine. I am curious to see how they do on the Rancher, but I do know you couldnt sell me anything else for the Foreman but Mudlites! Best tire I have ever seen!
