Default A Tire-ing day for sure

Got my ITP 589's on Thrusday, wasted no time getting them mounted by a well known and reputable tire store. I was set to go riding with a couple of guys on Friday morning. It snowed in our area all day Thrusday, a good opportunity to test the tires. As luck would have it all the guys cancelled the next mornig so I decided to go it solo. Two miles into the woods and two creek crossings later I looked down and to the left due to strange behaviour and discovered a flat tire. When I dismounted I discovered a second flat tire, both on the rear. The tire "technician" had failed to seat my tires in the bead of the rim. I immediately looked for two things..a tree with a crotch and a mud puddle. I tossed my rope thru the crotch, loopedit around my rear bumper and attached the other end to the winch hook. I was able to winch the whole quad off the ground and started packing mud on the beads, my Walmart compressor chugging away. One tire inflated, the other wouldnt. I limped the unit out of the woods on three wheels and went straight to the tire shop. A heated discussion and they went to work on it after a bit. As I was standing outside waiting I was witness to the front windows of the shop actually flex outwards. The "technician" had overinflated my tire attempting to get it to seat and blown it to shreds, the rim sailing across the shop. I was credited the original price of the mounting on all four rims and they owe me for a new 589 being shipped Monday. Oh yeah, they asked me to take it elsewhere to get it mounted. I guess it was a bit too much to handle. Always check to make sure your tires are seated. The End

Wow, I would be pi$$ed. Is there something different about the 589s that makes them difficult to mount? Those will probably replace the 4## somethings that came stock on my machines...

I just bought some Mudlites with some type 6 wheels. I bought tires from one place an the wheels from another place. When they got here I used a little liquid soap and boom all slid on no problem. I aired them up to 30 pounds and let them set over night to set the beads. Some people (tire technician) make things harder than they are. Oh yea and good luck with the 589's I have heard good things about them they maybe my next tire.
