Default Am I too FAT to ride???

Just bought a 03 Polaris Predator and the owners manual says "max payload rider and gear 230lbs". The problem is i'm 240lbs with my gear!!!!

What now, will bend the frame or damage the quad?

Or whose yet, do I need to get on a diet????

One of the main reasons they put that in there is because of the force you can impose when jumping and landing.....its alot of stress on the bike when alot of weight comes down hard on landings....jump softly....

Yes they all do have it, I have never messed with mine. I don't know a whole lot about justing shocks. Let us know when you get it, I think you will enjoy the Pred.

daranello, pretty good looking quad. wouldn't worry too much about the weight. the only thing i would tell you to check or keep an eye on would be around the top motor mount area. have seen a few break in that area, didnt matter the rider's weight. from your post i see you have the manual. you asked raj about the adj. remote, there is also a rebound adjustment on the bottom of the shock. you can get to it from the lower front part of the skid plate on the swing arm. you can also adjust you preload on the shocks for a heavier rider. word of advice, the front springs on the stock front are cheap. get a better set and it'll help your ride.

Well it looks like the shock on this bike can be adjusted while sitting on the seat. Just reach down your left leg behind your calf and there is the adjustment!!! I take a pix next week
