Hi Guys,

My first post on here, so please be gentle! I'm based in the UK, hence the username...

I've just been given a rather old Polaris 400 with a bust motor.

The engine is in pieces and straight away I can see that I need a new piston (with bearings, pin etc) and a new magneto (flywheel and stator.

Does anybody know where I can pick up these parts in the UK? I'm really struggling to find a dealer.

Failing that, do any other engines use the same piston and/or magneto set up (the engine is an EC38PL-01)?

Otherwise, I will be in Florida on business from 10th March in the Orlando area, are there any dealers there that will stock these items or get them by the time I arrive in the US?


Other than the previously seized motor, the rest of the machine is in great condition so I really want to get this back working again as I have a thousand jobs for it to do this summer!

I have all the parts you would need to do it. I would need a detailed parts list that you need.

Having just checked again, the stator and flywheel can be repaired, so all I need is the piston, clips pin and top end bearing. Can you email me with a price including shipping?

 

Sorry, forgot to mention... head gasket, cylinder gasket and water pump gasket, plus a few other bits. Do you have most parts for this engine in?

Are they new or used?
