Default who's replaced angle sensor on 250 Recon ES?

i have an '02 Recon 250 ES. i got 8 blinking flashes so i cleaned my connections at the ecu, and angle sensor. also, i put in some di-electric grease and duct taped the ecu connection to keep it snug, and to keep the dust out. well, now i get 3 blinks. if i keep turning the atv off and on, it'll go away evetually, and then run fine.

sooooo, is this a sign i've gotta replace my angle sensor? will it work intermittently like that when it's shot?

I did it about three weeks ago. It took me about an hour, I raised my atv in the front at an angle, so no oil would spill out.

It was a lot easier than I thought. The hardest part was putting the shield back on.

I got the part from Ronnies for $35 it took them 5 days to ship. So far so good.

Let me know if that fixed your problem.

did you have similar problems to mine? it's running good again, but i don't wanna get stranded somewhere and find it won't shift or start. i'm getting my sensor from servicehonda.com in 3 weeks when i go down south to Oregon!

I will let you know in two weeks when I put couple of hundred miles. The funny thing is the blinking will go away for days at a time and then re-appear and be persistent.

Good luck and let us know if the sensor fixed your problem.
