stupid question

Default stupid question

my buddy and i were arguing about sprokets...is it the smaller the rear sproket the more torqe and the bigger the rear the faster or the other way around. thanks

The bigger on the rear more torqe, and the smaller on the front more torqe.

Think about shifting gears on a mountain bike. The small front chainring and big ring rear is the easiest gear ("granny gear").
