#1
im trying to replace the axle bearings but i cant remove the hubs and the big bolts on the right side next to the disk brake, i think there's a clip in between the chain hub and the big bolt hub how can i remove those out.. please help im totally lost here, i need this bike ready for pismo next friday. anyone?

You really only need to take the hubs off the one side that has the big nuts on it. I think its the brake side. Take the wheel hub off, then the big nuts, and then the disc hub should slide out and you can then push the axle out.

A cotter pin? You just have to put a pair of needle nose pliers on it, straighten out the bent ends and pull on the looped end. Or you can just cut it off with a pair of sidecuts since you will have to put a new one on when your done.

If your talking about the preload nut and jam, you have to screw it inward (left hand thread by the way) toward the center enough to get the metal ring pushed inward and then remove the clip inside that ring. Then remove everything to get to the carrier bearings. Really easy when you finally figure it out, been there, wrestled with it for a few hours myself.
