im going be getting an 02-04 400ex and will be hauling it standing up.. .as i have done for years w/out problem on my 02 250ex... i imagine it will be no problem since it is air cooled, no water to leak.. this is the reason this is the only model i am considering cause it is air cooled and i am assuming will have no issues hauling standing up on end... let me know if ya'll have experiance to support or if youd have problems.. thanks allot all!

here's what i do with my warrior, and have had zero problems for a long time. i will do this to my 400ex if i ever need to.

1. turn off gas
2. run it until it dies
3. turn on full choke
4. run it until it dies, pumping the gas a lot of get all the fuel you can in there
5. go where you gotta go
6. put it back down, and let it sit for about 10 minutes before you go riding to let all the oil settle
