Why does the raptor 660 have little fins on the engine cylinder if it's water cooled?

It gives the cooling system even more of an advantage.

Take a look around, just about every atv has fins on the cylinder and/or head. But there is an obvious difference b/w the liquid cooled and air/oil cooled fins. The air cooled machines have much larger and deeper fins with more surface area to expell more heat into the atmosphere as more air passes over them than on the smaller fins of liquid cooled machines.

But doc had the most efficient and to the point answer, I just replied to raise my post count.
