CDI BOX / REV BOX for Utilities Anyone???
#1
I've found them for other brands but not for Artic Cats. I have a 500i 04' TRV. In fact I have a problem finding a lot of aftermarket parts for Artic Cats. I changed the CLutch Kit and added a 1 stage Dyno Jet Kit w/ K&N Filter. My friend got one for his Brute Force and it made a huge difference. I finally found one for a 650 Artic Cat but the manufacture couldn't get it to work for the lower models yet. Also, any one out there know of aftermarket Pipes for utilities? I seen them in Mags but the way the TRV is set up - the pipe doesn't go staight back it elbows behind the the back seat. New to the Forum and found a lot of info very useful. Can't wait to contribute, just questions for now.

A pipe would help allot, you'd have to do some fabricating to have it go straight out the back instead of turning 90 degrees like it does on the trv's. There is a box that allows the 500's to rev higher, but other than that it doesn't really do anything for you IMO. A box on the bigger machines that have the timming retarded really make a big difference.
Did you clutch it because you have bigger tires?

I was actually clutching it because I wanted more toque for plowing. I did add 26" Mud Lites to it and I added a lift kit to it too. The Dyno Jet mad a difference in mid range (more responds from throttle). Do you know of any pipes that can be use for the 500s. i looked on line and through advertisments and I haven't found any for the cats. PS how did you put a description of your bike at the end of your reply???

Thanks for the info - That site didn't have the year I needed, but I found one for 500 at FMF web site. $242 for the utility one. Thinking it over. Just woundering if the $$$ is worth the hopefully NOTICABLE performance difference- you know what I mean?

Saw the Great Pics. Thanks for the info. It looks like I'll order up the FMF exhaust on Monday and work it out for my ATV. Do I now have to change the needles on the jet kit for the aftermarket exhaust needle or does it not matter???
