is there anyway to rig it so you can start the trx300 4x4 in gear? i have seen that you can do it on other atvs, but haven't heard about the little 300.any response is appreciated.

 

Dennis Kirk sells a little switch and some wires so you can start any honda ATV in gear but Ive heard from some people who have this say its only a very very small computer chip and a button that you can get at radio shack for 15 bucks where its 50 in Dennis Kirk.

 

I tried it on my 350 S and it worked fine. Take a look at the circuit diagram in your manual. Find the gear position switch. Find the wire connected to the neutral position indicator to determine the wire color. Trace it back to the fuse box area. Find the wire on your quad and tap a wire in and connect it to a switch. The other side of the switch goes to ground. Make sure you tape up the connections good. When you turn the switch on, the neutral light should come on in any gear. If the neutral light comes on the quad should start. It should cost about $5. All you are doing is placing a switch in parallel with the gear position indicator switch.
