i put 25" tires all around and was curious if there is a lift kit for the scrambler? really only want to add to the rear. with weight of rider, rack, and gas box, the suspension could use a bump.

Or build your own. weld a small box of steel( approx. 2" x 2") to fit on the swingarm where the bottom side of rear shock mounts. When it lays on the swingarm, drill a hole where the shock mount bolt hole is.( so you can put a bold in latter)
Then weld two extentions on both sides of the 2"x2" you just made. Make extentions with slight outward bend at what ever length of lift you want(3" about max) Drill a hole in both sides and remount rear shock.

On the front, remove strut cartrages and put washer in aluminium strut housings first before strut. More washers, more lift. Put the same on each side.

Got any Pics. Would love to see what it looks like. What kind of wheels and tires did you put on? I am thinking about putting 25's all around. I have been getting my but kicked in the mud pits. All my friends have prairies and are getting in and out. They can even push me out of the mud. They have itp's with mudzillas or mudlites. I also want some more ground clearance. Have you done any other mods? Do you lose power when climbing up steep hills? I have an HPD clutch kit, team secondary, air box mod, K an N, and HPd pipe.

Hey Greenlant how do you like those 25's? What kind are they and what exact size?

I am about to put 26x9x12 front and 25x12.5x12 rear, on my 04. I have them on order and waiting for their arrival.
I wonder if I'll have to put a clutch kit.
I also may need a stiffer shock or lift, so let me know when you get more pics and what you do about your rear shock.

the 25s feel real nice playing around. it will still pop a wheelie on hardpack. gives it a nice solid feel. i do more trail/mud riding than just full out trail riding. i have debated on a new shock also, just havent had time to look into it.

 

Any problems with wheel size? rubbing? did you gain much in ground clearance?

its all good. techincally speaking, you should gain 1.5" ground clearance in the rear and 1" in the front. never taped it out. the only spot that is close is between the rear wheel and the where the footrest meets the fender extender (that is what polaris calls it). kinda funny, on the left side it is fine, on the right it is a bit tighter, but doesnt rub. i was wondering if i tweaked the axle or if there is an adjustment somewhere. not overly concerned, since it doesnt rub. the tires are a bit wider, so if u go to 25s, think about fender extenders. i put on the pure polaris, and i like them. covers the extra width of the tire. plus, the stock tires got a lot of crap on me, so it was much worse. i should have pics with that this weekend.

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]You can adjust your floor boards forward to increase the rear tire clearance. Just remove the bolts holding the floorboards to the frame and shift everything forward until the next set of holes line up and rebolt to the frame.
