Anyone know where to look for turf or grass tread tires. THe stock tires on the sportsman are great for snow or play but I need a tire that won't damage lawns when I use atv as utility vehicle in the summer. I have surfed web but not much luck.

 

You can usually order turf tires from your local tire garage or from a trailer or golf cart sales and parts store. Not sure where to get them online, but I'd bet a google search would turn up some promising leads.

 

I have seen them at Wal-mart. I just looked at them a few weeks ago.

 

I have tried both, Walmart here didn't have anything close. What I need is an atv tire 25*11*12 w/ turf tread, seem pretty difficult to find for some reason

 

Which leads to second question can I put a 24" Overall diameter tire on as long as I use the 12" rim size. I can't see what that would hurt for utility work

 

Is the link below kind of what you're looking for? I know it's not a true turf tire but it doesn't have an aggressive tread and they are on their own wheels so you can switch back and for between your stock tires when needed.

thanks for link, there are lots of tires there but I still cant seem to find the size I need......I have been able to find tread but not in right size or I find tire that is right size but too aggressive of a tread.....................

 

Here is the link for PurePolaris's turf tires and wheels. $89.99 each front, $99.99 each rear. They are 23", but if you look, it says they replace stock 25" tires. Or if you want to retain stock size, I am not sure why, maybe you could track down the maker of this tire and find a site with some sizings.

They also have just the tires, they are all 69.99 apiece. $20 more for a rim isnt that bad, even if they are the silver stock ones.
