Are Shop Manuals available at dealers? I see some for sale on ebay but not 05 Sportsman 500 HO. What modifications did Polaris make to the 500 to make it the 500 HO?

 

I would think that they are available, I have the Service Manual for my 2005 700 EFI. Can't tell you the difference on the 500's, someone else can chime in....

Try here. Give Tommy a call. I just got the service manual for my 04.5 700. Took about a week to get here. It was around $35, and I can assure you it's well worth the money. You should be able to get one at your local dealership and in all likelihood, it'll have to be ordered. However, if they're as incompetent as my local stealership, Asheville can get you what you need without raising your blood pressure.

 

I got a factory service manual for a 2005 500 h.o. from my dealer for about 40.00 dollars. He had to order it.
It came with a CD also.
