Default Anyone replace oil light with a guage

I would like to get rid of the oil light and replace it with a guage. Has anyone done this, or know of a small oil guage that will fit on the dash?

countryjoeglass has one in his dash. I think it is a sun pro. others have them mounted off to the side. mrmeaner, blue250r,others and myself. I dont have a pic of mine up. but some of the others do. just put your 1/8npt fitting in where the pressure sensor is. run your line or wire. and install the gauge. mine is mounted on the dash support bar on the side.

I've been told that the auto-meter liquid filled gauges are the way to go. Most gauges can't hold up to the vibration of off-road use.
I was looking at mounting one (2 1/16" Dia) in the dash next to the tach. There are some that are in-line gauges but you have to look over to the side to read them.....

I mounted mine in the dash. I still also have the warning lights as back ups. I mainly drag race so haven't had any problems with the gauges.

I had a problem with the oil switch last year after driving almost 100 miles to ride. I got to the park and my oil light wouldn't go off so instead of risking engine damage I loaded up and headed home. Turned out to be water in the switch! I was pi$$ed!. I went to the auto parts store and bout one of the three gauge packs with the mini gauges and removed the oil presure and water temp. I cut two small holes in the dash big enough for the two gauges and mounted them. Now I have oil pressure and water temp where I can see them. There is also still room to mount a tach in the dash. I just mounted mine to the side of where the tach mounts, right where it says bombardier.

What tach? I never said I had one.

Actually I do, but I took it out. I recently put it back on but it is mounted off to the side.
