Alright, this has really got my attention. I have to install one of these oil gauges on my bike. Can someone please walk me through what all I need to buy, and how to install one? I am not overly mechanical, but can do most things. I would really like to install one so if anyone could let me know, I'll offer a free weekend ride when ya come to Florida
The gauge came with all nessesary fittings. Screwed into where the sending unit is now.

Are mechanical, or electric the best. I still want to be able to use the stock oil light, so let me know. I'm excited now. I have been looking for something to buy, but haven't been able to come up with something that I could sell my girl on " honey I really need this to keep me and my bike safe, you wouldn't want it to just blow up and ruin are up comming vacation to the phillipines would you?" Also can you buy them with lights on them? And if so can you directly hook that up so that it comes on with your head lights? Ya I know it's a lot of questions but what the hell.

Cheapest place to get them is Summit Racing.

I don't know about keeping the stock light also.

They come with lights. I had them wired into the start switch so the lights were on at all times.

Recently disconnected the lights cause there was a short somewhere, and I don't ride that thing at night anyway.

I realize this topic is a month old, but I am about to install some gauges, so could use a bit more info.

Texas psycho, and busmechanic would the braided/hard lines for the oil pressure gauge be available at like a hardware store?

I have the sunpro triple gauge kit, and dont like the look of the plastic tubing included..

At this point I am torn between spending about 30 to get an inline temp tee (for the probe on the sunpro gauge to screw into) or if I should just spend 80 and get the ESR inline gauge. (that way I only have to mount one gauge in my dash)

I dont know if you would find braided stainless line in a hardware store. this is where I got my braided line. but, it is local for me. you might have to find a hydraulic fitting or brake line type supply store.

I am partial to the ESR gauge. I am getting a couple of those as sone as I get around to it. nice and clean looking. easy install.

My oil pressure gauge is to the side of the dash mounted to the headlight bracket. The gauge is 1-5/8" diameter and fits perfectly.
I'm not liking the this plastic hose so I think I'll install the hose into a SS braided fuel line as a barrier from heat and abrasion.
