Hey guys. I need some help. I purchaced a service manuel from a local polaris dealer a while ago, and come to find out it is missing the chapter I need........Now the local polaris dealer discontinued their polaris line and I am out of luck. I had bad dealings with them so I have no chance at getting this chapter from them.

Anyway. I need help putting on a new throttle cable. I have the 2 piece cable one for the carb and the other for the oil injection. I just want to be sure it is installed correctly. I know their is some adjustments. I don't want to end up with my throttle stuck wide open.

man you are a life saver. It doesn't look hard to change out. But, I talked to a few people and they said it does have some sort of adjustment. I am scared to get the oil injector out of wack, or the throttle not adjusted properly. Thanks very much. ryankmiller@comcast.net

 

When you remove the oil injector cover you can look and see that there is a mark on the moveable piece where the cable hooks, and there is 2 marks on the body. The first mark should line up just as the carb slide starts to move. The second mark should line up when the full throttle is achieved. That's really all there is to it and it's really simple to check and adjust. It's sometimes harder to just get your head in the right place to see it.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
