Default Dual carbs and a CT pipe

After installing my dual Lectron carbs I found that my new CT pipe will not clear.....Good news is that Allen at CT is going to make me a pipe that will.....I am going to drop off my Quad on Friday at CT Racing and leave it for a week so they can change the bends on their pipe to clear duals....

Not really, they just know that this has been an issue before and need a DS w/duals to use as a template....

Hey, Scott. It's great that you live close to CT.

I have their exhaust also (great pipe by the way) and when I tried to put my dual 39mm FCR's on they didn't fit.

I ended up taking my DS down to a local shop that builds custom pipes, and they modified it for me.They just added a bend in the midpipe.

Are you going to Dumont this weekend?

Check your PM's.

Al

Yep, and the new head pipe will lose a pony or two because of the new bends. Same issue with the raptor, no clearance for big carbs with the stock pipe and a major nasty bend in the new midpipe to clear them. This and Allen's attitude are the reason that I sold my CT.

Allen happily sells the modified midpipe to Raptor owners for 75 bucks plus shipping, I would assume that you may get it w/o cost if they use your bike as the guinea pig.

Finally!!!

They must like you better than me Scott!

I asked about the duals no more than a month ago and they wouldn't do it!

Good to hear they are doing it for you.

Jeff had mentioned he thought the bend had changed and it wouldn't fit with the duals any longer.
