Buckle Your Helmet, duh!
#1
I took an informal pole today of riders I saw at a busy riding area here in So. Calif. It is fairly easy to spot a rider who has an unbuckled helmet, because the strap hangs down on the right side (vs left for a buckled helmet). The percentage of riders wearing helmets was 100% (a Calif. law). But, I would estimate that 25% of riders DID NOT HAVE THEIR HELMETS BUCKLED! Doesn't seem like a real bright thing to do!
I personally think that those helmets with no chin guard are pretty silly too.

my friend has just returned home after being in ICU and rehab for monthes after a snowmobile accident. He had a helmet on but didn't buckle it. He was only going across the lake, no big deal right? Well he was wrong! He hit another sled becuase of the snow blowing up behind it and the angle he was heading towards it he couldn't see the tail light. he flew over the other sled and his helmet came off as he hit the other guy. By the time he hit the ice it was all the way off, and he still has some drain bamage. He is a great guy, but may never be the same.
