aftermarket rear shocks
#1
im thinking of getting some new front shocks off ebay for my 400, but my real question is about rear shocks. if i keep the stock rear shock will it be holding me back much. i dont really want to spend a few hundred$ if i dont need to. i can see how much front triple rates and such will help handling but i cant say the same about the rear shock. i dont race but i like to hit anything that looks remotly like a jump and going as fast as possible through the miles of whoops around here.
so is a new rear shock worth the 250 -350$?

Get ahold of works performance. They can rebuild your stock rear shock. I don't know how much it would cost but, I'm guessing it's less then $250. They rebuilt my front 450r shocks for less then $400, but $200 of that was for triple rate springs. You wouldn't need triple springs so I think it would be less.

I still have a stock rear. I was talking about the work done to my front shocks. The difference is HUGE. When Honda builds those shocks they think there is x amount of people wanting y amounts of things, from the suspension. When works rebuilds the shock for you it is for you. They ask about weight, size, swing arm, engine mods, abilities and other stuff. They build exactly for you.
