I'm looking at a used Honda (2002 Foreman). Is the number stamped on the engine a vehicle identification number, or just the type of engine in that quad? should the number on the engine be the same as the number on the frame rail and front? OR, do all the engines in a particular year/model have the same # stamped on them?

it's a pretty long number on the engine. i wonder if each engine has it's own number? the number is different than the frame VIN tho.

anyone know, does each engine get it's own VIN??
