Default new pics of my new air intake!

let me know what you think. i had the rath air intake before. i thought this looks better. i have not ridden it yet so i am not sure if i need to change my jetting. as soon as i do i will you know if i notice a diffrence in performance.

when i see an 800 i wish i had one of them too. i guess i cant have everything.

What is your carb jeted to? What size main and pilot?

I would put an outerwear on it !

right now i run a 175 main jet when i had the rath air intake. i have not ridden it since this new set up. i am going to put a outerwear on it this week. i just put this new stuff on yesterday. thanks for the complimant [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Damn Speedy looks like mine does!! LOL If ya need the outerwear number I have it too make finding one easier!!

yes i could use the part # and were you got it. i tried a 180 mn. jet and it lacked the top end pull. i am trying a 200mn. tonight. i will see what happens.

The number is rx-4990DL I got it from local k/n dealer or there are few online stores!!

thanks for for the part #. i put my old k&n back on and i will use my old outerwear. i couldnt get that red filter to work right. i think that it wasnt flowing enough air. i put a 215 jet in and it didnt pull hard on the top so i took off the whole filter off and it ran good. i put my k&n on and it ran good. so that took care of my jetting problem.

with the steel tube and k&n i run a 50 pilot 180 mn. that red filter i bought at auto zone was not up to par.(its in my pics) so i put on the k&n i got from rath and i still use the steel tube. plus the new tube is alot lighter and looks good. i am going to mess with it more this weekend. i will let you know if i have any changes.
