Skat-Trak Paddles run smaller than advertised
#1
I got ripped off when I bought Skat-Trak 20x10x10 haulers from Rocky Mountain ATV. The tires only measure around 18", NOT including the paddle height, and look ridiculous on the big DS650. Finally I ordered 22x11x10 haulers from Rocky Mountain ATV, and guess what, I have the same problem. These tires only measure around 20" including the paddles height. I wanted true 22" tires not 20". I am disappointed.

Scooby the reason why Skat traks measure less than what they say is because the measurements are from the tire prior to cutting all the rubber off so they can vulcanize the paddles on. I hear the best paddles for a DS is the STU (Sand Tires Unlimited) Sand Skate 1's. Scooby how much do you want for the 20-10-10 haulers? How much use is on them and are they the same tires that you said the one was over inflated and streched out more than the other?

I'm now satisfied with my 22x11x10 10-paddle skat-trak haulers. They measure around 21" including the paddles when at low pressure. This height is about what I need on the DS650 and they look much better than the 20x10x10 because they have some sidewall visible and aren't so short looking. The tires do seem very, very thin and would puncture easily if I encountered something sharp or stiff in the sand, but to get the light weight this is the tradeoff.
