Default Polaris 500HO out of storage :-)

Well after a weird winter I finally decided to take my SP out of storage. When I first started it the bettery was dead had to use the manual pull start and wow on the 2nd shot it started. I was so surprised how easy it was. Let it run for 15 minutes pissed off the neigbhours and now the SOB is fully charged.. wow it was nice to take it for a ride

just had to let people that care about 4 wheeling know.

You store it through the winter!!!!!!!! Come on now, throw on the snowmobile gear and get to it! I love to ride in the winter.

ekazmer,
It's not a good idea to let a SP500 idle for long periods. At idle there's not enough oil pressure/flow to adequately lubricate the camshaft and related parts. Lots of 500 owners have complained here about failed cams. Polaris' newsletter a year ago warned not to leave machines idling due to lubrication problems. I don't know if ths applies to other Polaris models.

I took mine out Saturday also. Hasn't run since mid December and it fired right up. Too much snow up here to run in winter, thats what sleds are for.....
