Tire choice for 250R
#1
After 20 years of great service my stock tires are just not going to cut it anymore, so I need some opinions on some good tires that have good straight line hook up but will still let me pitch the rear end out. I want them at least 4 ply since I ride some nasty trails sometimes. So what's a good tire for me? Can you still get original 250R tires anymore? Also, what front tires are you running on your ATC's. Mine is weather cracked and has less than 50% tread left so it needs replaced, too.

I don't know about the front, but on the rear my buddy with a ATC250r always ran stock 400ex radials. They performed really well on that bike. z400 or Raptor radials would work well too.

I've actually tried all those and they have a little more bite than my trike needs. I've been considering the Kenda Knarly, anyone use those? I guess I'm stuck between the Razr2 and the Holeshot XCT, which one slides better of those two?

I run Hole Shot XCR's on both my trx's. They pitch sideways at will and are very controllable in the corners. The bite coming out of the corners is great too. Only downfall is pavement will shred them quick.
