Ok, I recently got an '86 TRX 250r and am planning to race MX. I already have Turf Tamers and Radials, a revalved rear shock, Graydon Proline Nerfs, bumper and grabbar, Race Plastic, renthal bars, etc

I am getting ohlins front shocks as well.
Ok, what I want to know is some fairly cheap engine mods to make it more powerful, I have a 12 tooth front sprocket on the way. I dont think that the CR gasket will work to up compression, the way I understand it the 86 has one anyway. So, what some other thing to help out?
Thanks

I forgot to mention that I already have a Paul Turner pipe and FMF silencer, I have everything I need to race such as jerseys, chest protector, helmet boots, whatever.

I have raced before on my 300ex, but just stepped up to the R last month or so. So I just need some ways basically to up the compression or soemthing to give it more low end power for MX.
Also, why is a new swingarm necessary? I like the one on there right now, what would a new one help?

i ment to get a -1" or -2" (swing arm) for better hook up. The -1" is the same as the 88-89 "R" had (and forward 1" a-arms) sorry to confuse you

remember when getting oversize a-arms you will need to have the front shocks redone, so it may be wise to get the a- arms and shocks at the same time
