Hello took my bike out yesterday and it was leaking the purple tranny fluid from the rear driveshaft seal coming out of the case. Is this a easy fix or will I need the dealer to do it? Also if the dealer has to be involved how much work do you guys think I am looking at. It can't be more than a $5 seal, but it I just glanced at it last night and it looks like kind of a bear to get to.

 

Did you just change it? If so how tight did you put the plug? I had this happen to me and i striped the threase on the atv. Bad deal.

 

Haven't done anything yet, are you saying the rear seal is threaded? I was hoping someone in here would know, maybe i should check another forum.
