Default will 424 void warranty?

I have an 04 rancher with the extended warranty, and I was wondering if installing a warn 424 kit would void the warranty?

A 424 will void your warranty.

been thinking about a 424 because of many people saying it is the best thing you can do to an atv, but not sure if that's true or why I'd need it.

mileage? take it easy on your lawn? can't be because they handle better. Is it because you can now slide it around? You aren't going faster sliding than hooked up. Isn't this why rally cars are 4wd? Do you really want to take an 911-4S out of AWD? Granted a utility ATV isn't a WRX, but....

Here are the differences I found with my 424 installed:

On slow rocky trails, where you dont need the traction of 4wd, switching it to 2wd makes the steering lighter as the front wheels are not jerking the handle bars as they pull up over rocks and obstacles.

Maybe a little faster as all the engine power is going to the back wheels.

More fun on high speed runs as you can drift the backend alot easier for fun!!!

No more worrying about the drive line binding up when on a real hard surface or paved road or parking lot.

I have no idea if it will void your warranty, maybe on the shaft itself since the stock piece will be sitting in your garage. I would think the SEMA rules would apply and the manafacturer would have to prove that the accessory you installed actually caused the damage to the part they are warranting. If the engine blows, they could never prove that a different front driveshaft caused it to fail so the warranty would have to be honoured. I cant think of any way that this unit could cause another part of the ATV to fail directly.

steering reduction alone is worth every single penny, also the bike moves quicker in 2x4, feels more sporty and yes you can kick the bike around, have the bike completely "hooked up" on trails is not allways good, worth it baby, worth it, and it shouldn't void warrenty all it is, an expensive driveshaft

I guess the steering effort isn't that big of a deal to me. I can't complain anyway. That wouldn't be the reason I bought one. Still haven't found a good enough reason, but I wouldn't accept not honoring a warranty for an unrelated item. I might try one if I can figure out how to hide that ****.

My dealer states that the 424 does not void your whole warranty, only the warranty on the originially installed propeller shaft. I would check with your dealer though to make sure and you may want to contact Honda America as well. The 424 is awesome by the way..just put mine on yesterday.
