I was wondering if anyone has used this insurance company before? I recently purchased a Honda Foreman and have been insurance price shopping. Progressive wanted close to $300 a year for full coverage (basically only looking for insurance to cover theft) while Markel insurance quoted me a price of $80.00 a year for supposed full coverage insurance. The only real difference is deductible with Progressive being $250.00 and Markel being $500.00 which is no biggy. Even at a $500.00 deduct, Progressive was still around the same price. Just wondering why the big difference? I was thinking that Markel ONLY does ATV and MC insurance while Progressive does all autos and MC. Perhaps they pay more in auto collisions and pass the cost onto all customers? Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks!

 

I have markel insurance on my harley and 4 wheelers. Never used it, but good folks to deal with and always good prices. Kirk

 

Thanks! I'm still trying to wrap my mind around there low quote. I'll probably go with them. Did you find that there low premiums included full replacement cost or was it more of a percentage of the current value of the bike? Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
